PES Team Bios
DIRECTOR
Barton D. Charlip is the founder of Personalized Educational Services, Inc. (PES). On May 15, 2001 Barton established Personalized Educational Services, Inc. After years of preparation, Barton achieved his goal of providing educational services for local students. His first offering was a personalized tutoring program that he developed. He has since expanded with the development of additional personalized programs for an array of student needs.
Barton earned a degree in Finance and a degree in International Business from Florida Atlantic University in 1996. After graduating, he moved to Detroit, Michigan, to open a restaurant in downtown Detroit. The building was in an empowerment zone and Barton participated in what was then the rebirth of the Downtown of the city. He lived downtown and the restaurant participated and supported many cultural and diverse events in the city. In 1998, Barton sold the business and moved back to Florida. He continued in the restaurant industry until he started Personalized Educational Services, Inc., in 2001.
Barton has two young daughters. He loves to spend time reading to them, guiding them, and takes a strong interest in their overall spiritual, emotional, psychological and physical well-being. This is a true reflection in way he runs PES.
Barton has a vision to grow PES into a leader in the field of educational services through his unique personalized approach. You can be sure PES will always provide the personal service incorporated in the company name!
